Ateneo de Manila University has always been my dream school. Thank God, I got accepted after two months of waiting. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. ;;)
At first, I thought that studying in Ateneo would be easy since I graduated from UP (Shit, yabang ko ata. :P). Unfortunately, I was wrong! I realized that studying will always be hard no matter what so all I need to do is exert some effort and study really, really hard. I admit, my performance in my first semester in the Ateneo was not good. And to be honest, I'm not sure if I can make it given that in Jesuit education, it gets harder every semester, every year. :| But with all the odds, I must stay positive. I. CAN. DO. THIS. =))))
Alright. Enough about the studying part. Of course, I will never let my college life revolve around academics so I joined four different orgs: Ateneo Junior Marketing Association, Ateneo Lex, Tugon and Tanghalang Ateneo. SUPER FUN LALO NA YUNG MGA PINAPAGAWA SA INTERVIEWS! =)))))
What else? Aaaah! Of course, of course. CUTE GUYSSSS =)))) 'Nuff said. Studies first. Chos!
2. NEW FRIENDS
One of the best things about college is meeting new people who will forever be a part of my life. I know that most students from Ateneo belong to the country's wealthiest and influential families. At first, this thought scared me. I became worried that I will not have any friends and that I will be marginalized and isolated.
But after four months, just four months in the Ateneo, I realized that even though they belong to one of the wealthiest and influential families of our country, even though they drive expensive fancy cars, even though they speak in english almost all the time and even though they graduated from one of the best schools in our country, these people are friendly, easy and fun to be with and most of all, these people will always be there for their friends no matter what. ;) :">
3. DORM LIFE
It's my first time to live somewhere else. It's my first time to live with strangers. It's my first time to fix my own bed and my own cabinet. New adventures! Living in the dorm made me realize a lot of things. It made me responsible and taught me to be independent.
Living in the dorm is not as miserable as I expected. I met a lot of new friends like Sarah, Pat, Colene, Hanniel, Aimee, Zay and Ka plus Vivien who's been my friend for fourteen years! Hahaha! :))
Living in the dorm doesn't mean living alone. Living in the dorm means watching movies together, sleeping together, crying and laughing together, studying together, sharing food and eating together and of course, surviving hell weeks together. :">
